Cavs vs. Lakers, Game 44

WHAT HAPPENED: The Cavs were playing without point guard Mo Williams. But it didn't affect their defense that was suffocating. The Lakers were held to 39 percent shooting, 33 percent in the second half.

The Cavaliers continue their mastery over the defending champion Los Angeles Lakers and have now swept them in three of the last four seasons.

The Cavs have won seven of their last nine meetings with the Lakers, including five of the last six at The Q.

The Cavs are 41-9 (.820) since the beginning of the 2008-09 season against the Western Conference. They are 15-5 (.750) against the West this season and have won 12 consecutive games against Pacific Division clubs.

The Lakers are 11-2 against the Eastern Conference. Their only two losses were to the Cavs. They are 4-1 against the East on the road.

NOTES: The Cavs are now 16-3 at home and have won 18 of their last 22 games overall.
