Cavs vs. Warriors, Game 11
CAVS (8-3) 114, GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS (3-7) 108
Nov. 17, 2009
Quicken Loans Arena
WHAT HAPPENED: It was a dreadful, but close game. The Cavs won their fifth in a row and eighth in the last nine.
The Cavs were playing without C Shaquille O'Neal (shoulder strain) and F-C Anderson Varejao (hip contusion). That completely changed the way they played. Their post-up game went out the window.
It doesn't appear that Shaq will play until the weekend - at the earliest.
It didn't help matters that F Jamario Moon (sprained ankle) was sidelined in the third quarter. He's questionable for the Wizards tonight at the Verizon Center.
NOTES: The Cavs are leading the NBA in first-quarter scoring at 29.4 per game. They fired in 35 against the Warriors on Tuesday.
-- Wally Szczerbiak said he hasn't heard his name being bantered about in the last few days. Since the Cavs still own his "Bird" rights, they can use him in a sign-and-trade, similar to what Dallas did a few years ago with Keith Van Horn. "I'm all for it," Szczerbiak said.
